We believe that an innovative and enriching research environment will foster and preserve a high-quality academic teaching and there by support the advancement in global health care.

To achieve our research aim, we:

1. To develop innovative ideas and solutions for health care and academic challenges.
2. Integrate early research experiences into our academic programs to foster the development of future scholars.

The main strategic aim of the research conducted by JDT Islam College of Nursing is to promote the following sectors for the betterment of our society.

• Clinical nursing practice
• Nursing/ Health Professional Education
• Communicable and non-communicable diseases
• Health policy
• Holistic health care

The key objective of JDT Islam College of Nursing is to evolve into an academic institution with a strong emphasis on research. Our Institutional Innovation Cell (IIC) is tasked with ensuring the availability of the necessary infrastructure, resources, and policies to support the student research activities. Additionally, thiscell is responsible for incorporating significant research element in the academics.

In line with Kerala University of Health Sciences order No: 7439/2020/B1/Dean R/KUHS dated 12/08/2022 an Institutional Innovational Cell of JDT Islam College of Nursing has been constituted The aforementioned aims and objectives were developed for the IIC of JDT Islam College of Nursing in accordance with the institutional innovation cell's goals and objectives specified by Kerala University of Health Sciences.

The primary mandate of Institutional Innovational Cell of JDT Islam College of Nursing is to encourage, inspire and nurture young vibrant group of nursing students by supporting them to work with new ideas while they are in formative years.

Thereby foster an innovation promotion ecosystem in the campus and there by disseminating culture of research/innovation in the campus.
