BSc Nursing is a four year degree plus one year internship programme conducted at the University level. University prepares the syllabus as per the guidelines of Indian Nursing Council. Eligibility for admission is pass in plus two with minimum 50% marks in physics, chemistry and Biology. Nursing is a dynamic, caring and helping relationship in which the nurse assist The client to achieve optimal health. There are different levels of Nursing training programmes, including diploma(GNM - General Nursing and Midwifery) graduate (Basic BSc Nursing and Post basic BSc Nursing) Post graduate (MSc Nursing),M Phil and PhD in Nursing.

Candidates for admission to the course should have passed the Plus-2 or equivalent examination conducted by the Government of Kerala or by any of the Universities in Kerala with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English with 40% aggregate marks. In the absence of eligible plus two science candidates, students who passed higher secondary in other subjects will be considered. Registered ANM Nurses with Plus Two qualification, who have undergone ANM course in schools recognized by INC is also eligible for admission. a) Govt.
